(More customer reviews)This is a really cute costume, that is perfect for any Cars fan. My son wanted to be Lightening McQueen, but the typical car-on-suspenders costume seemed a little cumbersome. I found this costume online and my son was very excited!
Quality: This is a basic thin jumpsuit with a couple of velcro closures on the back. Not incredibly durable, but it should survive a few Halloween celebrations! A little transparent and definitely not warm, so you will want your child to wear something underneath.
Size: I debated between the 3T/4T & the 4-6 for my 4 yr old son who is 40 inches and 36 lbs. Thankfully, I settled on the larger size. It fits great. Just a little extra length in the legs and arms, which is fine because the cuffs are elastic. Also, it was cold the first time he wore this and the 4-6 gave him plenty of room to wear jeans and a long sleeved shirt underneath!
Accessories: The hat is too big for my son's head. It actually fits my husband!! However, it is soft cloth (only the bill is rigid) so I gathered the back a little and put a couple of stitches in it and it works fine. The headset is a bit of a joke. It is made of foam and it is way to big for a small child. Actually, I can't even get it to stay on me! I considered gluing the top of it to the hat (just above the ear) but my son preferred to just go without it.
All things considered, I am pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to other fans of Lightening McQueen!
